GUEST SPEAKER:
Bonnie Halpern-Felsher, PhD, FSAHM
Luncheon Tickets: $65.00 per person

Dr. Bonnie Halpern-Felsher is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine at Stanford University.  She is the founder and executive director of the Tobacco Prevention Toolkit and the Cannabis Awareness + Prevention Toolkit.  Dr. Halpern-Felsher’s research has focused on understanding and reducing adolescent tobacco use, alcohol and marijuana use, and risky sexual behavior.  Her research and advocacy work have been instrumental in setting policy at the local, state, and national level.  She has testified in congress, and at the FDA arguing for more tobacco/e-cigarette regulation.

Unlike cigarettes, the link to cancer of which is widely known, vaping products are new enough that long-term data on their health effects do not yet exist. Stanford's Bonnie Halpern-Felsher, PhD, explains in this KTVB news segment.
